 The Liver Transplantation SIG provides a forum within AASLD for the exploration of topics of common interest to hepatologists, surgeons and other health care professionals with a primary interest in liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery. The steering committee is interdisciplinary, mirroring patterns of care for patients with these conditions. Liver Transplantation is a surgical procedure performed to replace a diseased liver with a healthy liver from another person. The liver may come from a deceased donor or from a living donor.
