Biography
Graduated in Medicine from the School of Medicine / Unifesp in 1970 and at the same institution attended residency in Pediatrics (1971-1973). Still, in 1973 he specialized in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the Hospital Nacional Profesor Alejandro Posadas in Buenos Aires. He completed the master's degree in Pediatric Gastroenterology by the Brazilian Institute of Studies and Gastroenterology Research in 1977 and obtained two doctoral titles Paulista School of Medicine in the areas of Paediatrics and Gastroenterology, respectively in 1977 and 1979. Conducted postdoctoral research at North Shore University Hospital, based in New York and affiliated with Cornell University Medical College (1977-1979). In 1988 he became a professor of the discipline of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Department of Paediatrics, Unifesp. Since 1996 is editor in chief of Electronic Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Nutrition, and Liver Diseases, He is a member of the editorial board of the Revista Paulista of Paediatrics, the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology.
